MISSION

Why the project matters
Why the project matters

One of the most important international surveys on climate change conducted by UNDP ranks Italy at the top of the list of those who believe that climate change is an emergency (81%). Within the same analysis, the existence of a generation gap is highlighted, which sees in particular for Italy a greater degree of concern and awareness among youth under 18 (86%).

Tunisia, beside facing significant environmental challenges, it is encountering a phase of shrinking space for CSOs’ engagement, including environmental activism recently starting to be under threat. In this context, it is essential to promote a safe Youth engagement in environmental activism, which can alleviate environmental threats, enhancing climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction.

In Egypt, vulnerabilities such as water scarcity, desertification, and extreme weather events are exacerbated by climate change. Youth involvement in environmental initiatives can enhance adaptive capacities and promote sustainable practices, contributing at the same time to community engagement and awareness.
