About – YOU(th)CARE 4 Planet – Youth Green Initiative for change

According to the Flash Eurobarometer 502, new generations are keen in being engaged in building up a more sustainable society: “a majority (58%) of young people are active in the societies they live in and have participated in one or more youth organisations over the last 12 months”.

The Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, highlights the importance of youth participation in disaster risk reduction, emphasising that engaging youth can lead to substantial reductions in disaster risk and loss of lives and assets. Youth-led climate action and environmental awareness campaigns foster a culture of resilience and sustainability, essential for communities’ well-being in the Mediterranean region.

In this context, the YOUthCARE4planet project aims to support a new environmentally conscious generation in planning, acting, advocating and accessing decision making to drive sustainable change in Italy, Tunisia and Egypt.
