SMARTMED project is bringing exciting developments to Tunisia, fostering the growth of smart cities and accelerating digital transformation across the Mediterranean region.

A key role in these activities is played by BUSINESSMED- Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises, which connects the project with the regional business ecosystem and supports the adoption of smart solutions by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Smart City applications and pilot demonstrations in Tunisia

In Tunisia, SMART-MED-CITIES will showcase and demonstrate innovative smart city applications, focusing on key sectors such as:

  • digital solutions for waste management
  • community health technologies
  • sustainable urban development solutions

These pilot actions aim to enhance urban sustainability, improve efficiency and strengthen the resilience of cities.

Networking workshops and stakeholder collaboration

The project will also organize networking workshops in Tunisia, bringing together local authorities, businesses and key stakeholders. These events will:

  • foster collaboration and knowledge exchange
  • promote the uptake of digital technologies
  • create new business opportunities for SMEs

Through these initiatives, SMARTMED supports a more connected and innovation-driven ecosystem.
