About – PRomoting innovative solutions for the TECHnological Transition of the MEDiterranean horticultural sector

PROTECHMED aims to create an ecosystem for co-designing and testing eco-innovative solutions for horticultural greenhouses, focusing on water and energy conservation. The project unites over 300 stakeholders from Greece, Italy, Malta, Tunisia, Lebanon, and Türkiye to bridge the gap between research and agricultural companies. It develops smart technologies to improve efficiency, such as photovoltaic systems and a Decision Support System. The project includes training for 150+ technicians, an Inception Camp for collaborative problem-solving, and a final business model roadmap for sustainable food production.
