DigitalLife4All

An Adult & Lifelong Learning initiative to enhance the digital skills & smart competencies of Seniors

MISSION

1
Why the project matters
Why the project matters

All aspects of everyday interactions have been either partly or fully digitized, but although digitization aims at reducing complexity and saving time in order to create an easier life for everyone, the fast pace of digital advancement in recent years has created an unintentional – but inevitable – gap in digital skills & knowledge between social groups: some (usually the younger) manage to keep up, while others, particularly the already-disadvantaged, struggle to use tools & services of the modern digital world (digital divide). Moreover, according to ILO Global Business and Disability Network, 2021, people lacking digital competencies are at significantly higher risk of poverty or material deprivation. DigitalLife4ALL aims to address the exact gap in equal access to inclusive and quality digital education: by creating Digital Hubs.
