On May 14, 2026, the INNOVATILE project will host a specialized technical workshop in Cairo, Egypt, focusing on the integration of circular economy principles within the ceramic manufacturing value chain. This event marks a significant step in the project’s mission to foster transnational knowledge transfer across the Mediterranean. The session will feature expert contributions from the University of Naples, Istanbul Technical University, and the Universitat Jaume I (UJI), covering critical topics such as the availability of secondary raw materials in Türkiye and the technical challenges and opportunities of implementing sustainable compositions in modern tile production.
The workshop is specifically designed for a curated group of stakeholders, including regional organizations specialized in decarbonization, energy efficiency, and raw material management. By bringing together industry experts and researchers, INNOVATILE aims to stimulate a professional dialogue on the practical application of the HypocarbonTileTech methodology in the Egyptian industrial context. This invitation-only event will be promoted through the project’s official communication channels, ensuring that key decision-makers from the North African ceramic cluster are actively involved in the transition toward a low-carbon and resource-efficient built environment.
