EU Jeel Connect and Media Connect empower young changemakers and media practitioners to amplify EU opportunities and foster informed communities across the region.
We are pleased to share two complementary opportunities supporting young people across the Southern Neighbourhood through EU Jeel Connect and Media Connect, both established by the EU MedBridge programme to enhance youth engagement and raise awareness of European Union opportunities and values.
EU Jeel Connect
EU Jeel Connect is a network of over 400 + young changemakers from the MENA region who act as a bridge between their communities and the European Union. Founded by the regional communication programme EU MedBridge, the network focuses on promoting EU values and raising awareness about EU-funded projects and opportunities through youth-led initiatives, such as workshops and interactive talks. Members are responsible for organizing local initiatives at least once every three months and participate in regional events like the annual Connect Summit to strengthen networking and collaboration.
Media Connect
Media Connect is a regional network established by EU MedBridge to empower a new generation of journalists and media students across the Middle East, North Africa, and the Gulf. The initiative focuses on constructive journalism, equipping practitioners with hands-on editorial skills and fostering cross-border collaboration through flagship events like StoryLab CONNECT and Newsroom CONNECT. By producing independent, solutions-based content, the network aims to amplify diverse voices and increase public understanding of European Union policies and opportunities within the region.
