Within the scope of the SHAREN Project, coordinated by the Instituto Valenciano de la Edificación (IVE) , field activities were carried out in Uşak, Türkiye, on 29–30 January 2026, with the participation of the Turkish project partner, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.

As part of the mission, an official meeting was held with the Governor of Uşak, focusing on the local implementation stages of the SHAREN Project and potential cooperation mechanisms between provincial authorities and the project partners. The meeting provided an opportunity to align the project’s objectives with local priorities and to discuss institutional coordination during the pilot phase.

In parallel, on-site inspections of potential pilot heritage buildings were conducted in Uşak. These field surveys aimed to assess the current condition of historic buildings and to identify suitable pilot candidates for energy efficiency design studies, in compliance with heritage conservation principles.

The SHAREN Project seeks to promote energy-sharing solutions and improved energy efficiency in Mediterranean historic centres while safeguarding cultural heritage values. The findings from the Uşak field mission will support the selection and development of pilot activities, and further technical studies and stakeholder engagement actions will continue in the upcoming project phases.
