The Department of Engineering at Niccolò Cusano University in Italy, a partner of the Sludge2Energy project, has published a call for n. 1 postdoctoral research position in the field of thermochemical technologies and sustainability assessment applied to sewage sludge and organic waste streams.

The role involves researching advanced thermochemical technologies like gasification and pyrolysis, supporting pilot plant development, and conducting sustainability assessments, including Life Cycle Analysis. It includes technical collaboration on the “Sludge2Energy” and “LIFE-W2B” projects, coordinating activities, preparing documentation, and monitoring progress.

The position is financed under the research project Sludge2Energy—Pyrolysis of Dried Sewage Sludge for the Production of Energy and Biochar, as a Multifactor Process, where Interreg NEXT MED programme, covering 40% of the funding.
