The Lebanese Agricultural Research Institute attended to the event, where they built synergies with other lebanese partners from Interreg NEXT MED Projects
The Lebanese Agricultural Research Institute (LARI), partner in the PROTECHMED project, participated in the official launch event of Interreg NEXT MED projects in Lebanon, held in Beirut on 10–11 February 2026.
The event brought together beneficiaries selected under the First Call for Proposals, marking the beginning of a new phase of EU-funded cross-border cooperation across the Mediterranean region.
Over two days, project partners attended dedicated training sessions delivered by the Interreg NEXT MED Joint Secretariat, focusing on project management, financial procedures, communication requirements, and programme rules. These sessions provided essential guidance to ensure sound implementation, transparency, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
As part of an EU co-funded programme supporting sustainable and inclusive development in the Mediterranean, PROTECHMED is committed to applying this knowledge to deliver tangible results and foster effective cooperation among partner countries.
