About – Women Access Versatile Employment in Digital Economy

Across the Mediterranean, women – especially those in vulnerable situations – face systemic barriers to accessing digital skills, employment, and entrepreneurship. The gender digital divide remains high: only 19% of ICT professionals in the EU are women, and rates are even lower in MENA countries. DIGIWAVE, involving Spain, Greece, Tunisia, and Jordan, addresses this challenge by training and mentoring 200 women, providing inclusive digital education, and building a regional support ecosystem to foster employability, entrepreneurship, and inclusive digital transformation.
