Marine Protected Areas as nature-based solutions to face climate change in the Mediterranean: MedPROACT invited to share its vision with the “100MPA MED Alliance”
On the 25th of November MedPROACT project joined Interreg Euro-Med project “MPA4Change” in Barcelona for a workshop under the umbrella of the of the Natural Heritage Mission of the Interreg Euro-Med. On this occasion, the “100MPA MED Alliance”, a collaborative initiative aimed at enhancing the resilience and effectiveness to climate change of the Mediterranean Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) System by integrating climate adaptation strategies in 100 MPAs across the basin by 2030, was launched.

The MedPROACT project (Mediterranean Pilot Actions for Climate Change Adaptation) launches on 30th October at the Union for the Mediterranean in Barcelona. In collaboration with the Plastic Busters Initiative and the Interreg Euro-MED MIRAMAR project, MedPROACT will strengthen regional cooperation, scientific knowledge, and climate resilience to promote a cleaner, healthier Mediterranean Sea.
Three positions open to support the implementation of the MedPROACT project
The project is looking for a Project Coordinator, a Financial Manager, and a Communication Manager. The deadline for applications is 20 June 2025.
