The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), partner of the EU-funded SWAMED project-Sustainable Water Management for Smart Agriculture in the Mediterranean Regions, is seeking to hire a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in agriculture and certified experience in drone operations.
The selected candidate will contribute to the implementation of project activities in Greece, with a focus on the pilot sites located in the prefecture of Central Macedonia (northern Greece). An EASA-certified UAV pilot license for open categories A1/A3 and A2 is required.

The SWAMED project promotes sustainable water use in agriculture through smart irrigation technologies, multi-stakeholder engagement, and transnational cooperation across Tunisia, Türkiye, Egypt, and Greece.
The project has a total budget of €2.7 million, of which €2.4 million (89%) is co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme 2021–2027.
