On Wednesday 26 January 2026, the Fondazione Amesci took part in the event “Ecodigital Municipalities : workshops and best practices of young people, startups and institutions for a sustainable future”, held in Rome at Palazzo Valentini.
During the event, the President of Fondazione Amesci, Enrico Maria Borrelli, presented the project Mediterranean Entrepreneurship’s Real Added Values to Innovate and Green Local and Inner Areas (MERAVIGLIA) as a best practice in the field of sustainability policies, youth employment and territorial development, highlighting the role of Amesci as an active partner in the project.
The event was attended by Italian and international stakeholders and organisations, as well as members of the Italian Parliament, including Deputies and Senators. Former Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte was also among the participants, confirming the strong institutional attention to the issues of ecological and digital transition of local communities.
In his speech, President Borrelli stressed the importance of working towards strategic objectives, such as those pursued by the MERAVIGLIA project, related to environmental sustainability and inclusive growth. These objectives include the promotion of green and entrepreneurial skills for young people, the strengthening of employability and resilience of local communities, the support of sustainable economy models and social innovation, and the enhancement of Mediterranean cooperation through the exchange of best practices and the creation of sustainability-oriented territorial ecosystems.
Through projects such as MERAVIGLIA, Fondazione Amesci aims to promote concrete actions to build a more sustainable, inclusive and youth-oriented future, in line with European priorities and the objectives of the 2030 Agenda.

As a reminder, the MERAVIGLIA project takes over from RESMYLE project which managed to support 340 young people and raised awarness to about 10 000 people in France, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon and Tunisia.
