The Association La Saison Bleue was established in 2018. It is dedicated to promoting the Tunisian coastline and its diverse activities and resources, engaging in protective and educative actions regarding coastal areas and marine ecosystems, and supporting initiatives by coastal communities and maritime actors.
In SHARE4MED, La Saison Bleue gives its contribution to project management and coordination, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration within the consortium. Its role also includes the implementation of the project communication and dissemination strategy translating and sharing information with Tunisian audiences, and organizing two media events during Mediterranean gatherings.
Moreover, LSB supports the development of the Electronic Governance Dashboard by defining the criteria for the monitoring tool, testing the platform, and taking part in related training activities.
For over seven years now, the association has been proactive in raising awareness and taking various actions through their communication and awareness-raising activities, namely: newsletters, educational initiatives, the “Blue Club” bringing together leading experts in oceanic subjects, beach cleanup campaigns, and numerous project funding calls highlighting the Tunisian coastline sensitising thousands of committed local stakeholders.
Additionally, the establishment of the Forum Mondial de la Mer in 2018, under the presidency of Pascal Lamy, the Association La Saison Bleue became a central figure in marine conservation and the advancement of a sustainable blue economy throughout the Mediterranean region and potentially beyond Africa.
