Launch of MedYCI in Marseille, France- November 2025

On the 13th November 2025, the MedYCI project had its launch event… and what a moment it was!

This kick off took place in our audiovisual studio “L’Allumette” in Marseille, France and was broadcast live on YouTube.

The project will implement :

  • A transnational educational framework, co-created with experts in education, digital technology, and social innovation.
  • A team of 30 trainers and artists mobilized across the partner territories.
  • Five “MedYCI studios” (France, Spain, Türkiye, Tunisia, Egypt) offering collaborative spaces dedicated to creativity and experimentation.
  • Five MedYCI training cycles, involving 200 young people selected from the participating countries.
  • 25 creative local actions led by young people, aiming for a direct impact on their communities.
  • Five Mediterranean showcases, presenting 50 innovative ideas for a sustainable future.
  • A series of 10 “MedTalks” web series, produced by the trained young people to share knowledge, initiatives, and inspiring stories.

Overall, MedYCI aims for a broader impact reaching more than 500 young people, beyond the direct beneficiaries of the program.

A huge thank you to our partners (Anna Lindh Foundation (Egypt), CILG – International Centre for Local Governance (Tunisia), Pi Youth Association (Türkiye), IEMED – European Institute for the Mediterranean (Spain)) for their presence and inspiring contributions. It was a pleasure to discuss the future of this wonderful project together: the beginning of an adventure that puts young Mediterranean people at the heart of everything.

Thank you to everyone, both online and in person, for your participation and your kind feedback.
