On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the 3rd edition of the annual event MED Talks took place online. As with previous editions, the event was co-organized by the Interreg Euro-MED Programme and the Union for the Mediterranean to strengthen dialogue and collaboration across the Mediterranean region.
For the first time, the MedRESOURCE (Mediterranean initiative to Regenerate wastewater Sludges for Optimal Use toward a Circular Economy) project participated in the event with a presentation by Eng. Monther Hind, director of the Palestinian Wastewater Engineers Group, entitled “Turning sludge into a circular resource”. The presentation showcased the project’s expected key results, including sludge reduction, nutrient recovery, cost savings, and enhanced capacity.
“MED Talks” is a platform for sharing solutions and collaboration between stakeholders from both sides of the Mediterranean. This edition highlighted the success of Interreg Euro-MED projects, focusing on the main advancements and transfers of 8 Governance Projects; as well as 88 Thematic projects supported under the Interreg Euro-MEDProgramme‘s four Missions (Strengthening an innovative sustainable economy; Protecting, restoring and valorising the natural environment and heritage; Promoting green living areas; Enhancing sustainable tourism).
