The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Barcelona (CCIB), partner of the project MEDinCHAMBERS – Cross-Border Chambers’ New Services as Driver for Sustainable Fair Trade of Textile Industry Across the Mediterranean (A_G_4.1_0342), co-funded by the Interreg NEXT MED 2021–2027 Programme, is seeking a Senior Expert to support the technical management and coordination of the project.

The MEDinCHAMBERS project aims to strengthen cross-border governance in textile value chains across Italy, Spain, Tunisia, Egypt, and Turkey. Partner institutions operate within heterogeneous organisational structures, procedures, and tools, requiring coordinated governance efforts to foster cooperation, knowledge exchange, and long-term collaboration among Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce.

The project seeks to develop a shared governance framework and operational mechanisms to support sustainable and fair textile value chains, while reinforcing coordination among EU and Mediterranean Partner Countries.

The selected candidate will support CCIB and the Project Partners Coordinator as Senior Expert for Technical Management, contributing to the effective implementation, monitoring, and quality assurance of project activities, in line with Programme requirements.

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Key Responsibilities

The selected expert will support the Project Partners Coordinator in the following areas:

  • Coordination & Planning: Support operational planning, monitor internal work plans, and ensure coherence across Work Packages, with particular focus on WP5.

  • Internal Coordination: Act as an interface between the coordinator and project partners, facilitating compliance with Programme procedures and participation in steering committees.

  • Quality Assurance: Monitor project progress, identify risks, and propose corrective actions to ensure the quality and consistency of project outputs.

  • Reporting: Support the preparation of technical progress reports and ensure correct documentation of activities within the JEMS system.

  • Strategic Support: Contribute to the integration of cross-cutting aspects and support the preparation of corrective action plans and recommendations to enhance project effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Education: University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in scientific or environmental fields.

  • Experience: Proven experience in the technical and financial management of EU-funded projects.

  • Languages: Excellent written and spoken English is required; knowledge of French, Italian, or Spanish is considered an asset.

  • Skills: Solid knowledge of EU policies, strong IT skills (Microsoft Office), and the ability to coordinate and lead working groups.

Contract Terms

  • Type: Professional services contract.

  • Duration: From the date of signature until the end of the project.

  • Remuneration: Gross remuneration in accordance with the project budget.
