The Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) organised the Med Youth Lab between the 25th to 29thNovember 2024 at campus of Université Euro-Méditerranéenne de Fès, Morrocco. This 5-day workshop enabled over 60 young Mediterranean people (aged 18-29) from about 20 different countries, to learn, exchange and work together in three different areas: green skills, youth mobility for educational and professional exchange and youth engagement in multistakeholder dialogue.
Interreg NEXT MED staff took part in the third thematic cluster as member of the pitch jury. It was a great opportunity to meet these young dynamic and motivated people who came up with bright proposals.
In such as short period of time, not only did they learn how to draft a project proposal but also to deal with the diversity of the participants and pitch their ideas in front of a jury.
The jury member from Interreg NEXT MED would like to congratulate those young Mediterranean people and share some takeaway messages for their future applications:
- Always link your project idea with the topic of the call
- Clearly explain the link between the identified challenge with the proposed solution
- Be as specific and precise as possible when writing your proposal
- Think how your project can be sustainable beyond its implementation
- Keep in mind who are your target groups, final beneficiaries and what are their needs
This event was the best way to celebrate the Mediterranean Day (28th November 2024) and give some hope in a region that witness such turmoil.
