Interreg NEXT MED will participate in the European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek), the largest annual event dedicated to European Cohesion Policy. The event will take place from 13 to 15 October 2025 in Brussels, bringing together policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders from across Europe.
Hackathon “Shaping a Smart and Sustainable Tourism Strategy in the Mediterranean”
Mass tourism continues to pose challenges to the Mediterranean region, impacting ecosystems, cultural heritage, and local economies. But solutions existand they start with collaboration. Join us for a 90-minute hackathon where participants will co-create actionable strategies for sustainable and culturally respectful tourism. The best ideas may be eligible for future Interreg funding.

Support the NAWAMED project in the REGIOSTARS Awards
NAWAMED (Nature-Based Solutions for Domestic Water Reuse in Mediterranean Countries) is a finalist in the Green Transition category of the REGIOSTARS 2025 Awards. The project demonstrates how public buildings across Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, and Malta can become water producers, not just consumers.
