JADEITE participated in the official launch event of the NEXT MED Programme in Lebanon, contributing to the session “Promoting Participatory Governance and Partnerships” held on 10 February 2026.
In the event, our partner Georges Maalouf from the Union of Municipalities of Jezzine, represented the JADEITE project to strengthen participatory governance processes across the Mediterranean region, with a particular focus on promoting a just and inclusive transition.
The project is co-funded by the EU under the Interreg NEXT MED programme, brings together partners from Italy, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan and Tunisia.
In this occasion project’s representatives presented innovative solutions and collaborative approaches addressing shared challenges such as energy transition, wildfire risk mitigation, circular economy, youth employability, health preparedness and inclusive local governance.
Events such as these are excellent opportunities to connect with other projects and stakeholders, learn and exchange ideas in such a collaborative environment.
