As part of the EUSEEDS project, Aix-Marseille University, France, has launched a series of online training sessions aimed at supporting the 24 selected beneficiairy universities in the creation and development of their employability centers.

Held between March 30 and April 7, 2026, the sessions allowed to exchange practices, explore existing tools used at Aix-Marseille University, and reflect on how these can be adapted or enhanced within various institutional contexts.

The first session, on March 30, was led by the CISAM (Cité de l’Innovation et des Savoirs d’Aix-Marseille) and focused on different typologies of university-based centers and their economic models. Participants explored various funding sources, from institutional to hybrid models, and engaged in practical exercises to identify their needs and align them with appropriate services.

On March 31, the SUIO (Service Universitaire d’Insertion et d’Orientation) presented its key initiatives to enhance student employability. The session highlighted the role of the Career Center, including the development of a strong network of recruitment partners offering internships, apprenticeships, and job opportunities. Participants were also introduced to the JobTeaser platform, which bridges the gap between academia and the socio-economic sector. In addition, the team showcased its e-learning modules available on Moodle, designed to support students in building their academic and professional pathways. Representatives were granted access to these resources, along with insights into graduate tracking surveys conducted by the university’s student observatory.

The third session, held on April 7 and led by PEPITE (Pôle étudiant pour l’innovation, le transfert et l’entrepreneuriat) Provence, introduced the Business Model Canvas as a practical tool for structuring employability centers. Originally used for startup development, this framework was presented as a valuable approach to design and organize innovative support services within universities.

A fourth session is currently being prepared for mid-May, focusing on the importance of data monitoring and analysis.

An in-person concluding seminar will take place in Aix-en-Provence later on at the end of the series of online trainings.

Through this training series, EUSEEDS continues to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and capacity building among its partners and beneficiairies, contributing to the development of impactful and sustainable employability support structures across the region.
