Europe Day

Since its creation, the European Union has developed and expanded, with more and more countries joining forces to create a better future together. In just over 70 years, the European integration process has succeeded in ensuring long-lasting peace, reversing centuries-old paradigm of peace as an interlude between wars.

Key European Union achievements include countless tangible benefits for citizens such as the freedom to live, work and travel across 27 countries, the use of a single currency, the iconic student mobility ERASMUS programme or the recent “roam like at home” regime, guaranteeing no extra cost to use your mobile phone when you travelling outside your home country.

On the occasion of the Europe Day, which marks the anniversary of the historic ‘Schuman declaration‘ of 9 May 1950 that is considered to be the beginning of what is now the European Union, we invite you to test yourself to see how much do you know about the European Union. TAKE THE QUIZ HERE.

History, institutions, geography, culture, learn more about the European Union by taking our quiz and win fantastic prizes provided by the Interreg NEXT MED Programme.
