On 1–2 December 2025, the EU-funded EONANOBIOPS project participated in the joint conference of the Italian Chemical Society’s Calabria and Sicily Divisions, held in Arcavacata di Rende, Italy. The participation aimed to present the project’s vision and strengthen dialogue with the wider research community on sustainable plant protection solutions.
During the conference, Professor Serena Riela and the research team from the University of Catania, one of the EONANOBIOPS partners, introduced the project to scientists and researchers, outlining its objectives, overall approach, and expected contribution to environmentally responsible agriculture. The presentation generated strong interest and constructive exchanges, highlighting the growing relevance of innovative alternatives to conventional chemical pesticides.
This participation enhanced the project’s visibility at the national level and reinforced scientific engagement around sustainable agricultural practices. By promoting essential-oil-based nanobiopesticides, EONANOBIOPS continues to advance solutions that support environmental protection, human health, and a more resilient Mediterranean agricultural future.
