The Department of Chemical Sciences at the University of Catania (Italy), partner of the EONANOBIOPS project, is launching a call for applications for a postdoctoral researcher within the EU-funded project “Essential Oil-derived Next Generation Nano-Biopesticides for Sustainable Eco-Friendly Agriculture”, implemented under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme (2021–2027).
The selected researcher will contribute to the development of sustainable processes for essential oil extraction and their nano-encapsulation using advanced solid lipid nanoparticle (SLN) systems for agro-biological applications.
The research activities will focus on optimizing environmentally friendly extraction methods and improving nano-encapsulation technologies to enhance the stability, efficacy, controlled release, and environmental safety of essential oil–based nano-biopesticides.
Through this position, EONANOBIOPS continues its mission to support Mediterranean agriculture by developing safer, innovative, and sustainable plant protection solutions.
