On 10 April 2026, the EONANOBIOPS project was presented at the “Tounes Tobde3” Scientific Creativity Fair, held at the Cité de la Culture in Tunis, Tunisia. The event, organized by the National Agency for Promoting Scientific Research (ANPR), brought together leading scientific initiatives and innovative projects from across the country.
The Centre of Biotechnology of Sfax (CBS), a partner in the EONANOBIOPS project, was represented by Professor Slim Tounsi, Director General of CBS, who attended the opening ceremony and engaged with participants and visitors throughout the event.
As part of the exhibition, EONANOBIOPS was featured among cutting-edge initiatives addressing key environmental and agricultural challenges. The project focuses on developing next-generation nano-biopesticides derived from essential oils, offering safer and more sustainable alternatives to chemical pesticides. These innovative solutions aim to protect crops—particularly in tomato cultivation, a key agricultural sector in the region—while reducing environmental impact and supporting healthier and more sustainable farming practices.
The fair included interactive workshops, project exhibitions, and inspiring discussions that encouraged the exchange of ideas and experiences among researchers, innovators, and the public. It also emphasized the importance of empowering Tunisian youth and post-doctoral researchers, supporting them in transforming scientific knowledge into practical and entrepreneurial solutions.
