From 12 to 15 March 2026, the EU-funded EONANOBIOPS project under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme participated in AGROTICA 2026, held in Thessaloniki, Greece, where project partner Prof. Dionysios Perdikis from the Agricultural University of Athens engaged with stakeholders to present the project’s objectives and innovative approaches to sustainable pest control.

At the exhibition, visitors—including farmers, researchers, and industry professionals—had the opportunity to learn how these nature-based solutions can support more sustainable farming systems. Many expressed strong interest in the project’s approach, recognizing its potential to improve crop protection while safeguarding ecosystems and human health.

Participants also received the project’s informational brochure, offering insights into ongoing research and future applications of these eco-friendly technologies.

By taking part in major international events, EONANOBIOPS continues to raise awareness and build connections across the Mediterranean region, bringing sustainable agricultural innovation closer to real-world application.

EONANOBIOPS is developing innovative nano-biopesticides derived from natural essential oils—a safer and more sustainable alternative to conventional chemical pesticides. These solutions aim to help farmers protect crops, preserve biodiversity, and reduce environmental impact.
