SWAMED Publishes Its First Newsletter on Advancing Sustainable Water Management in Mediterranean Agriculture

SWAMED project has released its first newsletter, outlining its €2.7 million, 36-month mission to advance sustainable water management and smart agriculture solutions across Mediterranean pilot sites.

We are pleased to announce the publication of the first issue of the SWAMED (Sustainable WAter management for smart agriculture in the MEDiterranean regions) project newsletter, a project co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED programme.

The project, coordinated by the Department of Engineering of the University of Campania ‘Luigi Vanvitelli’, involves the collaboration of partners from Italy, Tunisia, Egypt, Greece and Turkey.

With a budget of over €2.7 million and a duration of 36 months, SWAMED aims to implement concrete solutions in four pilot sites, promoting the WEFE (Water-Energy-Food-Environment) framework as a new standard for agricultural sustainability.
