WISEMED National Co-Creation Workshop on 27–28 January 2026 in Lebanon fosters inclusive and resilient water management.
The WISEMED National Co-Creation Workshop in Lebanon, facilitated by our project partner Lebanese University, took place on 27–28 January 2026 at the Presidency of the Lebanese University (Rectorate – Museum Place, Beirut). The two-day event marked an important step toward a coordinated, inclusive, and resilient approach to water management in Lebanon.
The workshop brought together public authorities, practitioners, researchers, and local stakeholders to jointly address national water challenges. Key objectives included:
Over the two days, participants engaged in six technical sessions (T1–T6), using Mentimeter interactive tools to provide structured input and reflections. The sessions facilitated in-depth discussions, knowledge sharing, and collective reflection on sustainable water management in agriculture.
The workshop also included policy dialogues, technical discussions, and research-driven exchanges, allowing participants to share experiences and best practices. The inputs collected during the sessions are currently being analyzed and will directly feed into the finalization of the WISEMED Action Plan in Lebanon.
The National Co-Creation Workshop represents a key milestone in fostering inclusive, evidence-based decision-making and strengthening cooperation among national stakeholders, contributing to a more resilient and water-secure Mediterranean region.
