MERAVIGLIA is taking shape in Manisa thanks to strong local mobilization around sustainable third places

The participation of Türkiye, and in particular the governorate of Manisa, in the Interreg NEXT MED National Training Day in İzmir highlighted the country’s remarkable commitment to the program, strengthening the capacities of partners at every stage of the project cycle and confirming a very promising start with strong territorial and institutional representation.

MERAVIGLIA partner, the Governorship of Manisa, together with other Interreg NEXT MED beneficiaries, participated in National Training Day in İzmir, focused on partner guidance and capacity-building.

The national training was held in İzmir, Türkiye, on 4th December and was organized by the Directorate for EU Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye. Türkiye is taking part in the programme for the first time.

Türkiye makes a strong start in the Interreg NEXT MED with truly impressive results;

  • Türkiye takes part as a partner in 29 projects, represented by 32 beneficirias.
  • 12 provinces from Türkiye are successfully represented in the programme.

The national training offered an in-depth and practical exploration of the Programme framework, addressing every critical stage of the project lifecycle. From implementation and monitoring to indicators, project modifications, communication standards, and social media visibility, partners gained clear and actionable guidance.
