We are excited to introduce you to PLANBEE, the successor project co-financed under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme that builds on everything we created together through MedBEESinessHubs. The foundations are strong — and now, we’re ready to grow even further, as our hive is expanding: We are delighted to welcome Jordan into our Mediterranean family, joining Cyprus, Egypt, Italy, Lebanon and Palestine in this new chapter dedicated to strengthening the Bee Economy across the region.
What is PLANBEE all about?
PLANBEE aims to revitalize rural communities across the Mediterranean region by leveraging the economic and ecological potential of bees. It will empower youth, women, and local entrepreneurs in Cyprus, Egypt, Italy, Lebanon, Palestine, and Jordan. Through training with mixed reality tools, sustainable practices, and professional support, it fosters a dynamic “Bee Economy.” The project promotes product differentiation via branding and smart hives, while regional offices expand Apitourism through new and existing HoneyBeeRoutes. PLANBEE is a call to action_ bees are our only Plan B for a sustainable future. It will lead to new businesses, increased employment, sustainable rural growth, and a stronger environmental culture through community-based initiatives.
MedBEESinessHubs planted the seeds. PLANBEE is here to help the hive flourish even more — bigger, bolder, and buzzing with new opportunities.
