The SMARTMED project is looking for external collaborators

The University of Western Macedonia (Greece), lead partner of the “SMART-MED-CITIES – SMARTMED” project – co-financed by the European Union and national resources through the Interreg NEXT MED 2021–2027 Programme – announces a call for the recruitment of three external collaborators.

Open Positions:
Position 1 – Communication Manager: Coordination and implementation of communication and dissemination activities, focusing on project visibility, management of communication channels, outreach to businesses, public organizations and society.
Position 2 – Financial Manager: Financial monitoring and administration of the project, including budget planning and control, compliance with regulations, preparation of financial reports and support in audits and transparency processes.
Position 3 – Researcher (Smart City Testbeds): Study, development and support of testbeds in Smart City domains, focusing on deployment and evaluation of applications in energy and environment.

About the project
SMARTMED supports the digital transition of Mediterranean cities and their transformation into smart cities. It develops local hubs and an online platform for innovation and training, while pilot applications in Jordan and demonstrations in Tunisia will showcase solutions in energy, environment and e-health. The project also delivers consultation, training, networking workshops and a digital strategy to boost smart city capacities across the region. The project total budget is €1.1 million, with an EU contribution worth €1 million.
