From 24 to 27 June 2025, the European Parliament will welcome the exhibition “Through the Youth Lens: Stories of Transnational Cooperation.” Hosted by Member of the European Parliament Sandro Gozi and organized with the support of Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) – including our former IVY Alicia Kerekes Ispas – and Interact, the event will showcase how Interreg is fostering a more connected, inclusive, and forward-looking Europe. The exhibition underscores the value of cross-border cooperation, particularly through the perspectives and experiences of young people actively involved in Interreg projects.

Set in the ALTIERO SPINELLI Building (Floor 5, SPINELLI Balcony Area – 5G), the exhibition will feature 13 thematic posters highlighting real-life stories from across Europe’s 13 cooperation areas.

Youth at the Centre of Cooperation

The exhibition is led by Interreg Volunteer Youth, who bring to light how transnational projects are contributing to sustainable and inclusive development. Their testimonies reflect the wide-reaching impact of cooperation and the essential role of youth in addressing common challenges.

A Visual Showcase of European Integration

The exhibition presents cooperation stories that are not only impactful but also replicable across different contexts. These visuals aim to encourage wider participation, especially among younger audiences, in building a more resilient and united Europe.

Interreg NEXT MED Represented by the YEP MED Project

The Interreg NEXT MED Programme will be represented at the exhibition through the YEP MED Project (Youth Employment in the Ports of the Mediterranean). This initiative aimed to improve the employability of young people, particularly NEETs, in the port logistics sector. By aligning vocational training with labour market demands and fostering cooperation between public institutions and private stakeholders, YEP MED supported skills development and contributed to a more inclusive blue economy in the Mediterranean region.

Through YEP MED, Interreg NEXT MED exemplifies how cross-border cooperation strengthens regional development while contributing to wider European objectives such as youth empowerment, green transition, and economic inclusion.
