We are pleased to invite you to attend our workshop ‘Mediterranean’s got talent: ‘Empowering youth with blue and green skills’ to take place at the European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) in Brussels on October, 9th. The European Week of Regions and Cities is the biggest annual event dedicated to cohesion policy.

Youth unemployment and the resulting brain drain to wealthier regions is not a fatality in the Mediterranean. The session will spotlight EU-funded initiatives, including our ENI CBC MED-funded RESMYLE and YEP MED projects, that tap into the blue and green economies’ potential by providing young individuals with vital skills to boost their careers or venture into entrepreneurship.

Drawing on insights from business, civil society and Türkiye’s national authority of Interreg programmes, the workshop will explore strategies to nurture and retain young local talents in the Mediterranean.

The workshop is organized in partnership with the Directorate for EU Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye as the country celebrates 20 years of involvement in territorial cooperation under Interreg.
