DESCRIPTION:On 19 February 2026\, the WISEMED – MEDiterranean joint Water management and conservatIon SustainablE solutions project\, co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg NEXT MED Programme\, will host its National Co-Creation Workshop at ITABIA – Italian Biomass Association in Rome. \nThe workshop provides a unique opportunity to explore innovative solutions for water efficiency and non-conventional water resources in agriculture. Participants will present pilot solutions\, assess their technical feasibility and environmental impacts\, and discuss the potential for regional transferability. SUMMARY:DIEM International Workshop on Cultural Heritage Education and Training
DESCRIPTION:DIEM (Developing Inclusive Education in the Mediterranean) aims to strengthen inclusive access to education\, lifelong learning\, and skills development in the Cultural Heritage sector across Mediterranean countries. \nAs part of the project’s first-semester activities\, an international workshop organised by the Lead Partner Sapienza University of Rome\, in collaboration with Fondazione MeNO (PP2)\, will be held in Rome on 23 February 2026. The event will bring together universities\, public institutions\, and sector stakeholders. \nHosted at the Faculty of Architecture of Sapienza University of Rome (Piazza Borghese 9\, Rome)\, the workshop represents a key moment of co-design and dialogue\, aimed at jointly identifying training needs and strengthening synergies between academia and local contexts involved in the management and valorization of Cultural Heritage. \nThe event will be structured into three thematic working sessions\, focused on collecting contributions and defining shared training priorities\, and will conclude with a strategic roundtable discussion. DESCRIPTION:As part of SIMMER project\, the Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI)\, in partnership with the Civil Defense\, is organizing an introductory workshop titled “Towards Resilient Forest Fire Management in the Mediterranean Region: Updating Policies and Legal Frameworks.” Held on Friday\, March 27\, 2026\, at the Civil Defense Headquarters\, the workshop brings together experts and stakeholders from scientific\, legal\, and operational fields to exchange insights and strengthen collaboration. The agenda includes keynote remarks\, a project overview\, and interactive discussions aimed at enhancing policy frameworks and improving forest fire resilience across the region. Following this launch\, each project partner will organize national workshops with their respective stakeholders to gather insights\, data\, and contextual perspectives. These contributions will then be brought together in a seventh joint workshop\, where all partners will collaboratively consolidate findings and analyze the collected information\, leading to the development of a comprehensive GAP analysis report.

SUMMARY:CERES Hosts Side Event at S-Access 2026 to Showcase Campus-Based Solutions for Zero-Emission Transitions
DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday\, 8 April 2026\, from 9 to 11:30 h\, the CERES project (Centers of Excellence for Resilient Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Solutions) will organise Side Event 1 within the framework of S-Access 2026\, hosted by the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). \nCERES is co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg NEXT MED Programme and supports the development of innovation ecosystems and resilient entrepreneurship by promoting cooperation\, capacity building and the uptake of sustainable solutions across the Mediterranean region. \nThe Side Event\, entitled “Spotlight on Campus Zero Emissions – Knowledge Transfer for Energy and Digital Transition”\, is designed as a technical and experiential activity that combines expert presentations with a guided visit to real-life demonstration facilities on the UIB campus. \nParticipants will be introduced to the Campus Zero Emissions initiative\, a comprehensive approach to energy transition that integrates renewable energy generation\, energy efficiency\, energy storage\, sustainable mobility and digital management of energy systems. The visit will showcase concrete solutions such as photovoltaic and solar thermal installations\, district heating and cooling systems\, large-scale battery storage\, smart charging infrastructure and vehicle-to-grid applications. \nThe event will demonstrate how university campuses can act as living laboratories and Centers of Excellence\, enabling experimentation\, validation and transfer of innovative solutions to businesses\, public authorities and other territories.
