SUMMARY:WISEMED Organises Workshop on innovative Water Solutions for Agriculture in Rome
DESCRIPTION:On 19 February 2026\, the WISEMED – MEDiterranean joint Water management and conservatIon SustainablE solutions project\, co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg NEXT MED Programme\, will host its National Co-Creation Workshop at ITABIA – Italian Biomass Association in Rome. \nThe workshop provides a unique opportunity to explore innovative solutions for water efficiency and non-conventional water resources in agriculture. Participants will present pilot solutions\, assess their technical feasibility and environmental impacts\, and discuss the potential for regional transferability. Researchers\, sector experts\, and local stakeholders will engage in an open discussion to advance sustainable water management practices in the Lazio region. \nThe event will be facilitated by experts from CREA – Council for Agricultural Research and Economics and ICU – Institute for University Cooperation. \nWorkshop highlights: \n\nPresentation of WISEMED pilot solutions\nDiscussion on water use efficiency (WUE) and non-conventional water resources (NCW)\nAssessment of technical feasibility\, environmental impacts\, and regional transferability\nOpen discussion among researchers and experts\n\nThe workshop will take place from 10:00 to 13:00.\nWorkshop language: Italian \nRegistration is required by 12 February. \nDon’t miss this opportunity to contribute to the future of sustainable water management in agriculture. \nRegister here
